​Dr. Kacie Walters, DC and Co-owner of Catalyst Wellness.

Dr. Kacie attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, Kansas where she graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelors of Science in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic degrees. In addition to the rigorous DC curriculum, Dr. Kacie completed over 500 extracurricular study hours in the areas of chiropractic medicine, physiotherapy, developmental kinesiology, soft tissue techniques, sports performance and pregnancy related pain syndromes. She currently holds certifications in Graston and FAKTR soft tissue techniques, Motion Palpation Institute (MPI) Certified Practitioner, is certified by the Central Performance Institute for treatment of TMJ related disorders and pregnancy related pain syndromes and also holds a certification by the Prague Rehabilitation School in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) A. She is currently studying coursework to complete the other three courses to become a fully certified DNS practitioner. Dr. Kacie treats her patients using a comprehensive approach that is tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. She is very passionate about patient education as it is essential to success of treatment and maintenance of health and wellness. With her background as a pitcher in high school and collegiate fast-pitch softball, helping female athletes is a highlight of practice for Dr. Kacie, but as a mother of two, helping both Mommies & Babies is of equal importance. Outside of the office, Dr. Kacie enjoys spending time with her husband, two children Eli & Isabella, as well as her parents who supported and encouraged her dream to become a Chiropractor and pursuing an active and healthy lifestyle to better herself and her family.

Some of Dr. Kacie's Goals for her patients:

-Help children develop optimal movement patterns to instill proper joint alignment and posture as they grow and mature.

-To educate parents on the latest in musculoskeletal developments in children and whats best for their kiddos.

-To give athletes a better understanding of how they function in their particular sport/activity and how to achieve and maintain optimal function in workouts and every day life.

-To provide ergonomic/activity of daily life education to patients who struggle with work related pain such as: neck pain, headaches, jaw pain, carpal tunnel, disc herniations etc.

-To improve balance, proprioception and overall stability in elderly while educating them on fall prevention.

-To provide a general education to patients on the role of diet and nutrition and its relation to pain and inflammation in the neuromuscular system.

Sara Heberlein, PT

Physical Therapist, Sara Heberlein has over 20 years of clinical experience treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders, ranging from acute sprains/strains to chronic arthritis. She is also an expert in treating patients during post-surgical recovery and rehabilitation, pelvic alignment dysfunction, and balance/gait disorders. Sara is very hands-on with her patients and incorporates manual therapy, myofascial release, dry needling and assisted therapeutic stretches and exercises. She individualizes each patient’s treatment plan to focus on the specific areas of concern which helps to maximize results and speed up recovery. She also utilizes electric muscle stimulation, KinesioⓇ Tape, TherabandTM   exercises and home exercise programs in her treatments. 

 

Outside the Office

Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She spends her free time coaching and watching her children participate in sports. She also enjoys yoga, gardening, walking the dog, group exercise, paddleboarding in the summer, and skiing in the winter.

Dr. Sierra Caldwell, DC

Dr. Sierra graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa with her Bachelors of Science and Doctorate of Chiropractic degrees. She also completed the research honors program at Palmer where she studied the relationship between stress and dietary inflammation levels. She completed over 200 hours of training in pregnancy and pediatric care. Additionally, she completed coursework in McKenzie Part A (low back protocol). She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Motion Palpation, and Active Release Technique to better serve her patients. Dr. Sierra is passionate about empowering her patients in all life stages to achieve their unique goals through education, movement, and manual therapy. In her free time, Dr. Sierra enjoys running with her dog, Theodore, practicing yoga, and cooking with vegetables from her garden. She is thrilled to provide evidence- based, multidisciplinary care to the Lake Country community.
