Also known as Lateral Epicondylitis, it is caused by overuse and inflammation of the tendons that join the muscles of the forearm on the outside of the elbow (the extensors). This inflammation leads to nagging pain, tenderness and burning on the outside of the elbow; grip strength of the affected arm may also be compromised. Please note that athletes are not the only people who are affected by tennis elbow, this is a repetitive motion type injury and can be found in many environments.
